It is better if the interested individual is a passable speaker as they will have less trouble in keeping the audience engrossed. Though it may sound unimportant, care must be taken to not reveal the secrets to any of the friend or family who will also be among the onlookers. It is understandable that the amateur performer will be excited about the show but confessing the trick prior to the show may turn to be a spoilsport. Imagine the crowd returning a blank look just after the best of the trick was pulled off.
